Welcome to Sani Window, your tranquil gateway to the awe-inspiring beauty of Underberg, South Africa. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Southern Drakensberg Mountains, our charming Bed & Breakfast has been your home away from home since 2014.

In 2014, Sani Window was born out of a deep love for the stunning landscapes and warm hospitality that Underberg has to offer. As ardent adventurers ourselves, we envisioned a haven that captures the essence of this enchanting region, inviting travellers from around the world and South Africa to experience its magic whether it be for a holiday or a business trip.

We take pride in offering you a warm and welcoming atmosphere, where the comforts of home seamlessly blend with the wonders of the outdoors. The bed and breakfast can accommodate 20 people and is a favourable spot for sporting event stop overs such as Sani2c, Drak Descent and splashy Fen festival! Our cozy rooms are your sanctuary, and our knowledgeable staff is always eager to assist you in making the most of your stay.

Sani Pass Birding Tour

Take a day tour up Sani Pass in search of the endemics and birds on your Wishlist. The 4×4 tour up the mountain pass and into Lesotho will give sightings of Bush Blackcap, Barrot’s Warbler, Gurneys Sugarbird, Drakensberg Siskin and Rockjumper.

Sani Pass Day Trip

Take an inspirational trip up the magnificent Sani Pass and into Lesotho where you can visit The Highest Pub in Africa. Having a guide like Stuart your tour will be informative and he will be able to answer most questions as he has extensive knowledge of the landscape.

Sani Pass Sit-In Guide

For people that have their own 4×4, Stuart can sit in your 4×4 and guide you up the great Sani Pass giving interesting information that fulfils your curiosity of the area, landscape and birdlife.

Guided Rock Art Hike

There are half day, and full day hikes that you can select to see the Bushman paintings. You will experience breathtaking views, small streams, grasslands, Eland herds, mountain baboons and the rock art left by the bushmen that used live in the Southern Drakensberg.
